Give a day!

Leeds - Estates - Joust Preparation

This is a unique opportunity for enthusiastic and friendly volunteers to join our amazing Estates team in March.

Our International Joust tournaments are the highlight of the year, taking place in our outdoor arena over the Easter Bank Holiday. In order to welcome our international jousters along with our museum visitors, we are recruiting for volunteers to help us prepare the jousting spaces. Tasks will include general clearing of weeds, cleaning and painting where required of the stables, stable yard and tiltyard areas. In addition, maintaining our planters on the square and getting our outdoor spaces to look their best.

This is a brilliant opportunity for people who enjoy working outdoors and hands on tasks, along with supporting the Royal Armouries live events. You will need reasonable physical fitness and will be on your feet for a lot of the day. The role will involve manual handling, with some lifting and carrying.
